Hypocrisy

In 2002 when George W. Bush was President the debt ceiling was raised $450 billion. Guess who voted "yea" on this issue? If you answered Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, and Eric Cantor you are correct.

In 2003 Congress again voted to raise the debt ceiling by $900 billion. Guess who voted "yea" on this issue? That's right, McConnell, Boehner and Cantor.

In 2004 Congress raised the debt ceiling again, this time by $800 billion.  Guess who voted "yea" on this issue? Let me give you a clue ... Mitch McConnell, John Boehner and Eric Cantor.

In 2006 these three guys did it again, raising the debt ceiling by $781 billion.

In 2007 all three of them agreed to do it again, raising the debt ceiling by $850 billion.

Since 1962 the debt ceiling has been raised 74 times. While George W. Bush was President it was raised 7 times.

Hypocrisy - The state of pretending to have feelings, beliefs, virtues, opinions, qualities and standards that one does not actually have.
Nothing is more unjust, however common, than to charge with hypocrisy him that expresses zeal for those virtues which he neglects to practice; since he may be sincerely convinced of the advantages of conquering his passions, without having yet obtained the victory, as a man may be confident of the advantages of a voyage, or a journey, without having courage or industry to undertake it, and may honestly recommend to others, those attempts which he neglects himself. ~ Samuel Johnson
